DMFParadox -> RE: Have you ever given your girl grief (2/23/2008 2:45:09 AM)

Have I ever yelled or given grief because of a question? Frequently and with fervor. Which is not to say I'm proud of it, but I'm not ashamed either. It's situational, as all of the highly qualified "never, except when..." answers above me can attest. There are MANY stupid questions out there, and the fact is, sometimes you just don't have time for the B.S. Actually, these days I barely have time for the nifty fun stuff. However, comma, if you find yourself falling into a pattern of yelling and being short with questions, there's something very wrong. With you, them, or both. If you've been with the person for a while and the shortness is, say, less than a few weeks old, then figure out what's the underlying cause and fix it. If the relationship is new and you're doing a lot of nixing on their questions, then chances are you need to go find someone else to be with--the new sub isn't compatable or you're unsatisfied. Or they're unsatisfied, and they're provoking problems. Either way, find some space fast and regroup, because that's when communication is most important, and the nixing will leave a negative impression that can last for a damned long time. D
