Not really cool from a construction sense, but we do have a fairly well known band coming in for one of our shows this week. They are performing live, and it's a bigger set up than we've had to do in the past in this location. It's been quite the hunt for power, making sure it's the right amount, etc. We're actually using my suggestion, which is somewhat validating, since I'm 10 to 20 years younger than those involved in the discussion.
From the creative side, I've stumbled onto the DIY group in FetLife, and I've been playing around with some of the suggestions I've found in there. Currently working on a flogger with thin strands of rubber (from the inside of a bungee cord). I haven't worked out exactly how I want to do the handle yet, though I know I want to wrap it in thread or string of some kind (sort of like a wrapped sword handle). Still working out details.
I also just finished my Dom's birthday present. It's a marquetry design (looks like wood inlay done with veneers) with a butterfly in the centre. Our first weekend together, He took me to a butterfly conservatory. The butterfly is based on a pic I took on my phone from that day.
Are you working on anything right now? I seem to recall that you're a creative type person too.
