I saw an amazing uke workshop last summer at a festival I was working. Somehow, (and I'm still not sure how) with a chopstick and his uke, the guy managed to do a 5 min drum and bass riff. I could have sworn I was back in a rave, except for the sunlight and lack of drugs. Oh, and it was a folk festival. Go figure. ETA: I love that the book is on a shelf with a porcelain kitty. It's somehow fitting.....

Of course not. That's the beauty of it. Take it, but make it your own somehow. When Metallica covered Whiskey in a Jar, it didn't sound anything like the original, or most versions of it either. But, it's still a good song, imo. But I'm biased, since I liked the song before they ever heard it. But, I'm the one that got my niece a uke for her 2nd birthday. She loves her little "guitar", just like daddy's. My brother has been learning to play it too. shrugs Maybe I need to get my brother that book.... His birthday is coming up next month.... Thanks for the idea. Lol
