i'm thinking potatos for supper, too, but methinks pasta will appear on the menu later this week.

Luvs me potatoes! [:)]

Having leftover cream of leek & potato soup I made 2 days ago for lunch. Dinner is going to be a beef tenderloin which is in slow cooker, homemade gravy, corn and probably will do rice. I know I will have lots made so company for dinner is always welcomed!

FelineFae -> RE: The Last One to Post, WINs Part II (1/22/2013 11:14:39 AM)

Is isn't hard to go overboard when cooking. The great thing about it is that it's never hard to get rid of the extras. [:)]

i'm still having to remind myself there's no reason to keep the broth-bones when i'm done cooking.[>:] i miss all my family's pets; some have dogs and some had rats, snakes, and spiders. i never had a reason to throw out bones, nor vegetable trimmings, nor really much food debris. Throwing such things into a smelly recycling bin does not bring the joy of seeing a happy doggy gnawing away at a ham bone.

Most of all, it is just not right to be able to stand in the kitchen and trim meat or even open a can'o'something without having Banshea the Queen of Everything and Richard Hehasissues Mayhem RugbyBall the DoomCat demanding treats from me. i hope it won't much longer before we can visit them.

34 hours clocked already this week at work, and there's still 3 days left (yes, I have to work Sat too). *sigh* It's gonna be a long week.

I think I'm going to have to take the WIN with me to keep me sane.

FelineFae -> RE: The Last One to Post, WINs Part II (1/23/2013 9:59:11 PM)

Couldn't hurt to try ...

TwoHeartsBeatOne -> RE: The Last One to Post, WINs Part II (1/24/2013 3:36:40 AM)

What if we are in the Matrix and we've each already won?

Dreadmath -> RE: The Last One to Post, WINs Part II (1/24/2013 6:36:19 AM)

Then that Matrix could itself belong to a cube which belongs to a tesseract and so on...all the way to infinity ^^.

We then take it so that we are the elements in this matrix (A1=TwoHeartsBeOne, A2=Dreadmath, A3=FelineFae...An=<Insert person in this topic>) and assume that the other matrices comprising the cube also consist of the same elements.

Then if one and only one WIN occurs per matrix so that Am=WIN, where m=(1,2,3....n) and the probabilities being the same [P(m=1)=P(m=2)=P(m=3)...P(m=3)] then as we approach infinity, every element will have an equal amount of wins which will also be infinite.

Then the WIN becomes negligible.

Erm Dreadnath, you forgot to calculate the chaos factor.

Awh come on... ^^

lovethyself -> RE: The Last One to Post, WINs Part II (1/24/2013 7:30:49 PM)

Ummm...... Okay, I'll admit Dreadmath..... that went way over my head. I'm gonna blame it on the yet another 13 hour day at work today, though not having taken math higher than high school might have something to do with it.

So, we survived the first day on site. I had 2 younger guys given to me to get things done. I kinda liked having underlings. Much nicer than working by yourself.

I WIN. for now....

FelineFae -> RE: The Last One to Post, WINs Part II (1/25/2013 7:09:47 AM)

He also forgot that FelineFae WON Part I. [;)]

lovethyself -> RE: The Last One to Post, WINs Part II (1/25/2013 9:25:05 PM)

Yes, that should defenitely be in the formula somewhere.

FelineFae -> RE: The Last One to Post, WINs Part II (1/25/2013 10:51:49 PM)

That's what i thought.
Any fun plans for the weekend?

lovethyself -> RE: The Last One to Post, WINs Part II (1/27/2013 10:50:58 AM)

Finished work at 1:30 am last night, ending a 70 hr work week (finally). Going to my parents house today to play with my 2 year old niece, and hang with my cousin who's staying with my parents overnight.

My landlord/housemate is working on the plumbing today, so I currently have no running water in the house. We did fill the bathtub with water, so if we need to flush the toilet, we can. See, roughing it at the cottage DID teach us something useful. At least I have a valid excuse to not do laundry today. *grins*

I'm also working with my mom on her art show that premiers next weekend. We have a plan to project a loop of her artwork on one of the walls showing all the pieces that aren't in the show, either because they are already sold, are too big, or don't hang on a wall (like the sculptures).

How'd your weekend go Fae?

FelineFae -> RE: The Last One to Post, WINs Part II (1/28/2013 11:00:38 AM)

The coming art show sounds like fun. i bet it will mean a lot to your mom that you're able to use your talents to help her.
i can feel you with the plumbing... our power will be out for wiring repairs on St.Valentine's Day. i'm just glad they gave us early notice.
Maybe they figured we'd have candles lit anyways...[8|]
i was ill over the weekend but have since recovered.

PgII rescue.

lovethyself -> RE: The Last One to Post, WINs Part II (1/29/2013 7:19:26 PM)

I'm sorry to hear that you were ill this weekend. At least you're feeling better now.

My mom is looking forward to it, and she loves that we are working together on the presentation. It's going to be a pretty small show, but her artwork will be on display for the whole month. This sat is just the kick off show. It's in a performance space, so there will be shows in there all the time, with lots of traffic going through. The hard part is tastefully letting people know that the art on the walls is for sale, even when she isn't there as part of the opening.

Candles are fun on Valentine's day, but having a choice about it is what makes it fun. Besides, how are you going to have music playing without power? Or cook dinner?

I'm sure you'll come up with something fun to do in the dark.

UnholyBear -> RE: The Last One to Post, WINs Part II (1/30/2013 4:59:39 PM)

Flounces in for the WIN!

Nelee -> RE: The Last One to Post, WINs Part II (1/30/2013 5:42:53 PM)

I'm totally not feeling this whole "literary criticism" thing I have to get done. I need a breeeak. University has burned me out way faster than I thought it would...

FelineFae -> RE: The Last One to Post, WINs Part II (1/30/2013 8:35:09 PM)

This is a good place for those types of breaks.[:)]

FelineFae -> RE: The Last One to Post, WINs Part II (2/2/2013 7:15:07 PM)

Yep, i'm still winning.
